Our Religious Education Program
Religious Education is a faith-based program designed to give students in grades K through 8 an understanding of Catholicism in the hopes of enriching their personal spirituality and appreciation of God’s blessings. Students attend class weekly for one hour from September through April.
Our curriculum focuses on the rich history of our faith and liturgy. Students are expected to become active participants in learning through class activities and weekly Mass attendance.
Our catechists are dedicated well-trained teachers who share their spirituality with students with great enthusiasm. Catechists receive certification opportunities throughout the school year as well as training in various social topics which affect children.

Students who successfully complete through grade 7 become eligible for the Sacrament of Confirmation which takes place in the spring of the 8th grade school year. Unlike a regular classroom setting, the 8th grade program concentrates on the student’s future as a disciple of Christ. The program we use for the immediate preparation of the final Sacrament of Initiation is published by Ascension Press and is called “CHOSEN”. 8th graders meet on Monday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. beginning in Sept and ending with Confirmation in the spring.
