Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion For The Homebound
Homebound ministers are dedicated to bring Communion to the sick and homebound, representing Christ, while manifesting compassion and charity on behalf of the entire parish.
If you have been a homebound minister, currently are, or would like to become a homebound minister, please leave your contact details with your status (current minister or new) at the parish office or in an envelope in the Sunday collection basket to the attention of Deacon Gino.
Please prayerfully consider returning or becoming a Eucharistic Minister for the homebound.
I pray the Lord will touch your heart.
Dcn Gino
At St. Pius the Tenth, our presiding Priest generally is assisted by a Deacon and 4 Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC), in the distribution of the Communion at each Mass. All appointed EMHC are trained and should be examples of Christian life, faith and morals. They must be a baptized person in good standing with the Catholic Church.
The Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion must have a genuine love for the Eucharist, in order to share the joy of Holy Communion with all who partake and will seek to serve the people of God in their times of need. The EMHC serves at Mass in accordance with a schedule and/or also brings the Eucharist to those parishioners who are homebound due to illness.
Please consider participating. If you have questions, ask
Fr. Richard or call the office for more information.
* Diocesan requirements require that ALL Ministers of Holy Communion should wear face masks while distributing the Eucharist.
